There is a quiet confidence that comes from knowing exactly what you want — and why. This week, I've been thinking about the difference between collecting and curating, and why restraint is the highest form of taste.

To collect is to accumulate. To curate is to decide. Every object you choose to keep, every recommendation you choose to make, is a statement about your values. The ebapproved seal exists precisely because that decision deserves weight.

This week I turned away three submissions that were, by any conventional measure, excellent. But excellent is not exceptional. And exceptional is the only standard we keep.

A linen I can't stop reaching for. A candle that makes every room feel like an evening in Provence. And a book that has quietly rearranged the way I think about beauty.
